Lesson 1: Frame the scroll — listening as boundary
18 min · Establish a repeatable listening frame before interpretive claims.
# Frame the scroll — listening as boundary
## Why this exists
Most “courses” stop at a syllabus. This lesson is a usable practice: you leave with a
written listening frame you can reuse on any Celestial / field recording.
## Practice (do now)
1. Choose one short audio clip you control (or a Celestial suite tone).
2. Write three sentences only:
- What is the **boundary** of the take (start/stop, mic position, room)?
- What is **not** claimed (emotion, genre label, audience effect)?
- What would falsify your next statement?
3. Save the frame as `listening_frame_<date>.md`.
## Checkpoint
Submit three sentences that separate observation from interpretation. If you cannot
name a falsifier, the frame is incomplete.
Checkpoint: three_sentences_with_falsifier
Lesson 2: Tempo as posture — deliberate motion drills
22 min · Treat tempo as a physical posture choice, not a BPM decoration.
# Tempo as posture
## Drill
Play or tap a steady pulse for 90 seconds at three postures:
- seated upright, elbows free
- standing, weight on one foot
- walking slowly without syncing steps to pulse
Record which posture kept the pulse most honest (least rushing).
## Checkpoint
One paragraph: which posture reduced rushing, and what physical cue you will keep.
Checkpoint: names_posture_and_cue
Lesson 3: Field recording awareness — provenance first
25 min · Attach provenance before aesthetics so archival use remains possible.
# Field recording awareness
## Required metadata block
For any field take you intend to keep:
- `captured_at` (ISO UTC if known)
- `location_class` (studio / exterior / transit — avoid over-precise private addresses)
- `rights_state` (original / licensed / unclear)
- `processing` (none / light EQ / unknown)
- `intended_use` (practice / archive / public candidate)
## Checkpoint
Fill the metadata block for one existing file. Mark unknowns explicitly as UNKNOWN —
do not invent locations or rights.
Checkpoint: all_keys_present_unknowns_allowed
Lesson 4: Publication boundaries — existing URLs only
20 min · Practice publication under existing OYOTTA URL policy without inventing apex paths.
# Publication boundaries
## Rule for this pilot
Public apex sites remain untouched. Staging and existing Celestial URLs are the only
allowed publication references in exercises.
## Exercise
Draft a one-paragraph “ready for Antigravity” note that includes:
- artifact path
- SHA-256 if known
- `new_urls=[]`
- receipt status PENDING until signed
## Checkpoint
Your note must contain `new_urls=[]` and must not invent Hostinger success.
Checkpoint: includes_new_urls_empty_and_no_false_remote
Lesson 5: Evaluation before promotion — matched folds
28 min · Refuse model/product promotion when evaluation windows are unequal.
# Evaluation before promotion
## Core claim (source-grounded in local kernel)
Unequal evaluation windows invalidate promotion. Matched-fold baselines beat a Poisson
claim that used unequal windows (see `PROMOTION_CORRECTION_POISSON.json`).
## Exercise
Given two candidate “improvements,” write which one you would **stop**, which you would
**revise**, and which evidence is still UNKNOWN.
## Checkpoint
Explicit expand / revise / stop labels with at least one UNKNOWN preserved.
Checkpoint: expand_revise_stop_with_unknown
